Lucia is currently Academic Supervisor and cello teacher at the Magnificat Institute of Music in Jerusalem, as well as Artistic Advisor at the Barenboim-Said Music Centre in Ramallah. She previously taught at Al Kamandjâti Music School (Ramallah) and at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music, where she also served as Head of the String Department.

During the war, she developed a music programme to support children in East Jerusalem, aiming to reduce fear, foster resilience, and strengthen community connections through music. She also designed a training project for advanced students and young teachers in East Jerusalem, providing pedagogical tools to enhance their work and create new employment opportunities. She is currently an advisor to the Andrea Bocelli Foundation for the Music Art Lab project in kindergartens in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Lucia regularly delivers seminars in Italy, Switzerland (Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana), and France (Conservatoire de Mulhouse), sharing her experience of teaching music to children from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, often in socially and environmentally challenging contexts.

In addition to her teaching and performing activities, Lucia collaborates with RSI – Radiotelevisione Svizzera Italiana in the production of podcast content and serves as a local correspondent from East Jerusalem for the Italian national radio station RAI Radio 2 on the programme Caterpillar. She contributes articles to La Prealpina (Varese), the online cultural magazine Nazione Indiana, and the Vatican’s international newspaper L’Osservatore Romano. She is also the author of her first book of short stories, Terra non promessa (Sonitus Edizioni) that won the prize in 2025 “Microeditoria di Qualità” Chiari.

She is currently a research fellow at UNIMORE (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia) for the PNRR project JERUS-IT-ARTS – Between Italy and Jerusalem: Enhancing Education and Promoting Cultural Heritage Preservation (00044). Her work focuses on creating an inventory of the music archive of the Custody of the Holy Land in Jerusalem.
